Before we jump into this week's reflection, I wanted to take a moment to express my sincere gratitude. Every time you take the time to read, like, comment, share, or subscribe, it warms my heart. You're the reason Mirror and Magnify thrives, and I'm so grateful for you all. Thank you for being a part of this lovely experience.
Hey y’all,
When was the last time you wrapped yourself in a hug and said, "Thank you for everything you've overcome and everything you're capable of achieving?" Have you ever looked in the mirror and whispered, "I’m so proud of you?" Or told yourself, “I love who I am right now?”
Let's be honest, most of us have never even considered the thought. Me included.
However, we readily shower those around us with words of love, appreciation, and pride. We tell our significant others how much we adore them whenever we get the chance. With ease, we thank our colleagues and family with a grateful heart. At every accomplishment, we’re proudly cheering our friends on.
Yet, when it comes to ourselves, those same words get caught in our throats.
Why is it easier to celebrate others than ourselves? This week, let's challenge that.
Choose from the following affirmations below and speak it aloud everyday to yourself in front of the mirror:
“I am worthy, regardless of my mistakes and failures.”
“I am so proud of everything I’ve done.”
“I am wealthy for my life is full of abundance.”
“I am able to create the life that I dream of.”
“I am love and I love who I am.”
I’ll be using the fourth affirmation for myself during this mini self-celebration challenge. Let me know which one resonates with you and all the other ways you’ll be celebrating yourself this week.
With love,
Kelisha (she/her)
